About Me

Brian opened Legacy Venture Group, a business focused primarily on business sales and acquisitions, in 2004. As a business intermediary, he has supported the business sales, merger and acquisition industry by not only pursuing his professional development but also educating and supporting other business intermediaries throughout the region. During the span of his professional career, Brian has worked with hundreds of business buyers and sellers.  He firmly believes that he learned more from every amazing business owner he worked with than from any classroom experience.

Brian served as President of the Florida Business Brokers and is currently Business Brokers of Florida Vice President for the Tampa Bay region. He has earned his Certified Business Intermediary credentials with the IBBA, his Certified Mergers & Acquisition Professional designation from Coles College program at Kennesaw State, and is finalizing his Certified Valuation Analyst certification. He currently serves on the education committee for M&A Source – the internationally recognized Mergers and Acquisition organization.

Brian started with Texaco / Saudi Aramco in 1990 working with key business owners in consulting, business development and ownership transition. He served in the mid-Atlantic area during the merger with Shell Oil Company in the mid-nineties. After the corporate assets were sold off in the mid-Atlantic, Brian returned to Florida to help assess the values of the company owned assets in Georgia and Florida. During his time working in the oil industry, he received his MBA from Loyola in Baltimore and learned from numerous other education training opportunities such as Advanced Financial Investment Analysis at the University of North Carolina.

He has been a board member for the Friends of Joshua House since coming back to Florida. Joshua House provides support and healing to abused and abandoned children. He also continues to help raise funds for organizations like Joshua House and past chairman for the Michelin Joshua House Golf Tournament, where his company has provided and served lunch to 300 golfer and volunteers in support of this charitable organization.
